Special announcement! This Thursday, 7/17, AVP Beach Pro Stars Albert "Al-B" Hannemann and Jeff Carlucci will be hosting a special clinic for SL players from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for the first 30 to register!

Spike League's Player a Slammin' Good Time! Dozens met up at Trinity Bar & Grill to celebrate the start of our Summer '08 season at Sinatra Park.

 

Spike League's Summer '08 officially kicks off this Wednesday and Thursday, July 9 &10. Over 150 teams are scheduled to get underway this week @ Sinatra Park! We are still taking teams and players at all levels so come on down and we'll get you playing!  Join us for a great season at Sinatra Park!

Summer is finally here and so is another great season of outdoor volleyball!  Sinatra Park will be a Volleyball Field of Dreams starting Wednesday & Thursday, June 25 & 26th! A new FieldTurf has been installed and along with a dozen new net systems, ball barricades, and other great stuff this will be our best summer ever! All we need is you to make it truly great. 

Saturday, June 21, 28, July 5 and now, July 12 added- Saturday pick up games at Hoboken's Maxwell Place; 11th & Hudson- Free to all! Weather permitting we'll set up a few nets starting at 10 a.m. for all who want to stop by and enjoy the day as we get ready for the July 9th regular season start of our Outdoor Su'08 season at Sinatra Park! check here for updates on whether we are on day of.

 

Spring into it! The Spring league is now underway and its the best indoor season of the year! Regular season starts week of April 22 and ends the second week of June, just in time for the much anticipated, super popular Summer '08 Outdoor league! Play this Spring to tune up for the summer season and get preference in getting into the summer league at Sinatra Park and save big $$$ too!

New This Spring: Reverse Coed 4's Wednesday nights! 5 top level teams are competing in this super challenging and competitive format that's truly a BIG HIT! 

Ladies Night- has ended. Thanks to all who gave it a try.

March 28, March Matchness! Congrats to Bria/Erich who took the title. February 29 Leap Year Rev Dub Tourney: it comes only once every 4 years- Erin/Pete come back to win 8 team pool at Prep, Taryn/Josh team up knock out Mel/Sean in finals, end Iwona's streak.  Iwona takes another title; teaming up with partner Marc to win 12 team February 1 Rev Dub tourney. 5 more teams participated at St. Joe's where Katie Smith and partner won. Our last tourney of the season will be the March Matchness on March 28.  Space is limited at the WNY Middle School to 12 teams. $25 SL members/$30 non. $5 discount if you register/pay in advance so get your team in early.

First Rev 2's tourney of '08 crowns two new teams as champs. Congrats to Iwona/Warren in the Gold level while Colleen & Paolo meet up and take the Silver division from pals Cristin/Duncan in action on January 11.  

Reverse Coed 6s- Next: Friday, April 11. Staff Infection & Pavan's Peeps won their divisions as 12 teams battled it out on 1/24. 3 girls/3 guys on a women's height net with the girls blocking and hitting at the net while the guys attack from behind the 10' line. Get your team together and join us for the challenging and fun filled format! $20 per SL player, $25 non. $5 discount if you register/pay in advance. 12 team limit. 

Spike Camp- Two sessions on 1/28 & 2/4 were a big hit with over 50 players attending the twin sessions. Players worked with top instructors who took their game to the next level with instruction, hours of drills to improve their skills and scrimmages to bring it all together. We'll look to add another session and team clinics in early March so stay tuned! Our instructors will offer a series of 3 hour (7:30 to 10:30) clinics  focusing on different skill sets. $20 for SL members, $25 non in advance, $10 extra for same day sign ups. Space is limited so get in early!

Spike League 2008 Kickoff Party will be held on Friday, January 25 at Willy McBride's on Grand between 6th and 7th from 8 to 10:30. Join us as we celebrate the start of the new year and our Fall '07 champions with free food, drinks, happy hour specials, prizes and a charity raffle for Nets tickets. Start the year and the season off right with your pals at Spike League!
